Sorry for the absence of posts, if anyone has been following my blog at all. (I won't blame anyone, it's not that interesting plus it has way too little updates). Anyway, this is a great news, I have finally received my Carte de Sejour! After the painstaking process of retrieving my birth certificate, and 3 visits to the notorious Profecture, I finally got it! Now I can move around and work! WooHoo!!!
p.s. Cate de Sejour is the resident permit/card of France. The one I have got is a temporary one. I will get a permanent/official one earliest in June. Also, surprisingly, the woman who helped us yesterday in the main profecture was actually really friendly. Can't complain about her this time. Nor the previous one. But the first woman we dealt with was rude, not considerate and not friendly at all. I have come across a website referring them as 'the Profecture Witch', partly because they are not that friendly, and partly because of all the hatred and frustration that's produced in those places for among foreigners.
